This is your chance to tick off the city’s biggest icons, feast on incredible local dishes and soak up all the energy that makes Beijing one of the world’s most fascinating capitals.

Arrive in Beijing and settle into our hotel in the heart of the city.

After your transfer, take a little time to unwind or wander the surrounding streets to get your first feel for China’s buzzing capital. Once everyone has arrived we will have a group dinner to cheers to our upcoming adventure across Asia!

Today, we step straight into history.

Explore the legendary Forbidden City, once home to emperors and filled with grand halls, hidden courtyards and endless stories. Walk across Tiananmen Square, the symbolic centre of modern China, then head to the Temple of Heaven, where locals gather to sing, dance and practise tai chi among ancient cypress trees.

In the evening, enjoy an iconic Beijing Roast Duck dinner to top off a truly classic day.

Head into the mountains by cable car for a breathtaking visit to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall, known for its beautiful scenery and restored watchtowers. Enjoy plenty of time to roam along the ramparts and take in sweeping valley views.

Later, wander through the charming hutong district of Nanluoguxiang, a lively maze of alleyways lined with cafés, boutiques, street food and courtyard homes that reveal a more intimate side of Beijing life.

Tonight, we will enjoy a traditional meal before wrapping up our Chinese detour.
