Amazing trip with a fabulous bunch of people. Everything was so well organised, I didn’t have to think. We managed to see and do so much in a short space of time. Had an absolute ball! 

Colombia July Trip

I had a super time on the trip to Colombia.  The group were a really great group of ladies.  The fun, craic and chats were mightly.  The accommodation on the trip was excellent. The location of the accommodations in particular were so central that they were great.  There was a great mix of activities on the trip.  The dinner locations were very well researched and the food was delicious.  An excellent trip that I would highly recommend. 

I really enjoyed this trip and it definitely exceeded my expectations. Every part of the tour was high quality, well organised and a good balance between plans and rest time. It was a great opportunity to meet like-minded solo travellers and to visit places you might not have the confidence/ set up to go to otherwise.

Had the most amazing trip. Peru was such a beautiful country and I would highly recommend going! Cusco, Machu Picchu and Rainbow Mointain were some of my highlights from the trip.

The group got on really well together, all the different personalities gelled really well together. 
Was well organised and no pressure to attend all planned excursions which I really liked as it can be busy.

Japan Trip 2 with Janet's Journeys

Excellent trip with an  amazing group of people. This was my third trip with Janet’s Journeys and I have to say it was one of the best trips ever. Janet always puts together an amazing itinerary. The accommodation was excellent and the meals included were wonderful especially the 2 food tours. I would highly recommend Janet’s Journeys to anyone who is looking for adventure and unique group travel experiences. 

Japan is a must visit - the people, culture, food - everything was incredible.

This trip was a once in a lifetime experience. Everything was well organised and we had plenty of unique experiences packed in. The highlight for me was definitely the tea ceremony and kimono experience. Travelling the country with a wonderful group of people is a memory I will treasure forever. Janet and the local guides were very knowledgeable and helpful. I would recommend anyone thinking about booking this trip to just do it! Japan is a beautiful country filled with history and culture, I couldn't imagine a better way to see it!

Japan Trip 1 with Janet's Journeys

To be honest, this trip was rather average. Yes it was great to see Japan and experience the culture but I feel the arranged element could have been better. What you see on Instagram is very much a highlight reel and I don't think the trip was value for money. 

This was an amazing trip around the stunning island of Sri Lanka.  The people, the culture, the experiences, the activities and the craic - this trip had it all! From the amazing people on the trip, to the guides and leader; we made and shared the best memories.  I would recommend a trip to Sri Lanka in a heartbeat! 💗 

Sri Lanka with Janet's Journeys 2025

I spent 10 days in Japan over the Easter break. It was amazing with a great bunch of people. It was a fully packed itinerary visiting three very different cities Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka. There was also the highlights of the trip visiting and seeing Mt Fuji on a clear day, staying in a traditional Japanese Ryokan and of course having the chats with the bowing deer's in Nara. I would highly recommend this trip.

Had the most amazing time in Japan! Such a fun filled itinerary, so many cool and unique experiences and just a great gang to enjoy it with! Highlights were seeing Mount Fuji and staying in a Ryokan, sushi making and Nara deer park 😍

My trip to Socotra with Janet's Journey was truly unforgettable. Although I was the only Dutch participant in the group, surrounded by Irish, British, and American women, I immediately felt at home. In no time, I found myself having meaningful conversations with fellow travelers.

Janet is a true connector and an avid, passionate traveler. It was inspiring to see how positive and enthusiastic she became while exploring the island of Socotra. Her energy is contagious and she naturally attracts like-minded people — adventurous, open-hearted and curious travelers. This created an incredible group dynamic that made the journey even more special.

The beauty of Socotra speaks for itself, but experiencing it with Janet’s Journey added a whole new dimension. From the stunning landscapes to the warm local encounters, every moment felt authentic and memorable. Janet’s thoughtful planning, her ability to foster connections and her experience and passion for travel ensured this was a trip I will never forget.

Socotra Camping Adventure

The most wonderful experience getting to explore probably one of the world’s last untouched paradises!! Be prepared for an epic adventure, such variety every day in the scenery and landscapes we explored, waking up to sunrise over an amazing forest or by crystal clear turquoise water!! Dont expect luxury, but sleeping in a tent under the stars and next to such beautiful scenery is worth it! 

Another wonderful trip with Janet! The 7 days felt like weeks, we did so much and saw so much but also managed to have lots of relaxation time. Socotra is the most surprising and magical destination, we were looked after so well during the trip. 100% would recommend to others. 

It was incredible - the landscape and  the experiences (esp the dolphins) will be hard to beat - camping on the beaches and staying in the forest will stay with me forever - the drivers and guide are so helpful and friendly and great craic - it makes you take the occasional natural toilet break and showers in your stride - of course it’s all about who you’re with and as always the people who travel with Janet’s Journeys quickly become friends and make the experience - strongly recommend - it’s a privilege to visit and experience such a beautiful country 

Wonderful experience the food, itinery and people were great. Highly recommend!

Philippines with Janet's Journeys

I had a wonderful time in Philippines. Janet lead the trip and the girls were absolutely amazing. Really enjoyed getting to know each and everyone of them. The highlights of the trip were water canyoning near Maolbaol, zipwires, 3 day boat trip from EL Nido to Coron. Janet was very organised and when bad weather struck ( heavy rain) and an activity had to be cancelled, she pivoted very quickly and organised something equally as brilliant in it's place. She is a very sociable and interesting person and gets alot of repeat business which just says it all.

I had a brilliant trip and did some once in a lifetime stuff on this adventure to the Philippines.  Highly recommend Janets Journeys

I had a brilliant time! The whole trip was incredible. When rain stopped some of the plans, alternative plans were made without any fuss.

This was such a great trip. It was an excellent way to experience such a unique country. Janet took care of everything and we really got to delve into the culture of Papua New Guinea. I would highly recommend any of Janet’s trips, she organises everything so well and works hard to provide such a great experience!

The trip exceeded my expectations! It was a perfect balance that helped you see the highlights of Nambia. The accomodation, food and activities were all great. Tinashe the travel guide was knowledgeable and ensured we all felt safe and happy! Namibia is amazing, cheap, people are so friendly - a fab trip! It was made extra special as I was lucky to be with a great group of girls!

The trip overall was great. We covered A LOT of things. Our guide really did make the trip what it was. All the accommodation we stayed at was lovely, safe and clean. The only thing I would say is when we stayed in Swakopmund we had a free afternoon with optional activities, we chose the jeep safari to sandwich harbour, flamingos and pink lakes, this was not worth the money, so I would recommend future groups to explore Swakopmund instead. 

The trip was amazing. Tinashe the tour guide was phenomenal and went above and beyond his duty- so knowledgeable, informative and a fabulous person. I feel the trip could be extended to 2 weeks as there was a lot of sitting in the truck for long periods of time each day

Had a great time, local guide was really knowledgeable. However the packing seemed to be aimed at summer time & not winter time. 

It would have been nice to have an open safari van & I did have issue with some of the billing, in lodges all drinks were put on our individual rooms which meant we were paying for water & soft drinks in alot of locations despite these supposed to be included. 

Wasn’t well organised, first day had 2 boat trips not a great idea during winter. It was hard to see where the fee went. I had booked a flight on the Friday, I asked before booking if that flight was okay & was assured I wouldn’t miss out on anything. I ended up missing out on the last day which was also the highlight day. I ended up hiring a private driver to do the trips myself to ensure I’d be back for my flight. I think having the biggest most exciting day at the end of the trip was bad planning. Day 1 & 2 seemed to have a lot of free time & having bigger trips thst sar would have made more sense. Although I appreciate that our lead tried to move things around to ensure I could take part in the final day I was too stressed & anxious & had no trust that I would make the airport on time. All our other activities had been running 1-2hrs late so I didn’t have faith I’d make the flight. Overall cape town felt very much solo trip as the group seemed to do their own thing. 

Over all it felt like a very disorganised trip.

What an amazing trip! Who knew Peru had so many amazing places to explore? It’s truly a beautiful country. Janet put together a great itinerary and we were incredibly fortunate to have Sarah as our brilliant group leader, along with the magnificent Magali guiding us from days 2 to 7. Both Sarah and Magali kept us organised, clearly communicated each day’s plans and adapted when necessary. Magali’s passion for sharing her extensive knowledge about the areas we visited, along with her support and encouragement (especially when climbing Rainbow Mountain) was inspiring. We were genuinely sad to say goodbye when our time in Cusco ended. Lastly, a huge thank you to the entire group for making this an unforgettable trip, I look forward to booking my next one!

Peru with Janet's Journeys

This was my second trip with Janet and it was as wonderful as the 1st. 
We saw so much of Colombia in the 10 days - cities & villages, lakes & seas, a snippet of everything Colombia has to offer. 
It’s busy days packed with activities but plenty of opt out options too to do your own thing. Everything was organised really well, accommodation was lovely, transfers were very comfortable. 
Would certainly recommend this trip.

This trip to the Galápagos islands was the most incredible adventure. The islands are truly a natural wonder, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to explore their unique landscapes and diverse wildlife. We encountered giant tortoises, marine iguanas, blue-footed boobies, Galápagos penguins, and even playful sea lions. Every day brought new and thrilling encounters with these incredible creatures. 
My trip to the Galápagos Islands was an unforgettable experience. I would highly recommend a trip with Janet's Journeys to this remarkable destination.

Iceland with Janet's Journeys

The trip was amazing. We got to do and see so many amazing sites in Jordan and the tour guide really made the trip. He ensured everything ran so smoothly and it really made the whole trip so seamless. There were so many bucklist experiences I would recommend everyone visit Jordan. 

My only feedback was the included dinners were very disappointing. I was so excited to try the local cuisine so eating hotel meals wasn’t really what expected. We ended up skipping most of them and going out and the food in local restaurants was amazing.
